GAITHERSBURG, MD (November 14, 2018) – designDATA has announced the planned retirement of Dennis Ruck, Founder, President and CEO, effective as of October 31, 2018. Dennis founded designDATA in 1979 to deliver turnkey membership management solutions for associations and non-profit clientele.

In 1988 Dennis spearheaded the acquisition of a large engineering firm called Data Consultant Services (DCS). Through this acquisition, the company was able to offer more expansive single vendor solutions by providing hardware maintenance and engineering services to membership management software clients. His industry expertise and reputation helped designDATA win prestigious engineering accounts such as the Executive Office of the President, Bell Atlantic (now Verizon), Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Department of Labor, Department of Justice, NOAA and DoD. Dennis also negotiated the rights for the continued support of the Rolm Mil-Spec computer systems from Lockheed Martin, as well as a controller business from Zetaco Corporation.

Matt Ruck,Vice President, has been named President and CEO. Matt has been employed nearly25years with the company and held several other roles at designDATA over the years. As Vice President, Matt worked continuously to enhance and improve the company’s suite of managed technology and cyber security services.
