Security Assessments designDATA is pleased to provide Managed IT Support clients with security assessments analyzing the effectiveness of security solutions and processes currently in use at your location. Typical security assessments include the following services: - Research, define and scan for external presence.
- Perform port scanning analysis on the external IP Range.
- Using “brute force” methods, attempt to gain access to the network.
- Perform an internal network threat.
- Install a network sniffer and document all broadcast.
- Install a password auditing program onto the network.
- Review all server operating systems for service pack and patch level.
- Review all server operating systems for services run by default.
- Review all remote access capabilities and corresponding security.
- Create a security summary report that details security precautions and best practices.
- Perform a line item assessment of security threats.
- Perform a wireless security assessment.
- Investigate Active Directory configuration and existing policies.
- Analyze applications and services on internal network servers.
- Examine file-level security and recommend any necessary changes.
- Create a model for network based auditing, both on object and login access success and failure.
- Identify other internal possible areas of network breach including print splash boxes, queues, and storage of local data.
- Review security of all mobile devices that connect to the network or contain sensitive company information.
- Review all written security protocols provided by customer.
